In action: Integrated audio, lighting and video controlled by an on-stage performer.

The warehouse where agb built and tested their system; and scotto's on-stage workstation.

agb's automated "just in time" lyric delivery over full motion video.

agb travels light: their entire rigs fits into a custom-built trailer that can be pulled by a small truck or SUV. The fuel savings when compared to a tour bus or multiple vehicles is significant.

Fans of the films The Wizard Of Oz or
The Matrix are famililiar with the concept of a someone (or something) behind
the curtain that magically controls all the wonderful things we see and hear.
aaron greer band has its own "man behind the curtain" though he is seen onstage as well. That man is C. Scott Gilbert (aka, scotto).
aaron greer band has always employed a "high-tech" performance ever since its inception in 2005. "My job with aaron greer band, besides playing bass guitar," says Gilbert
"is to leverage technology to create a major label musical experience with an absolute bare minimum of expense. Salvation through Christ is free, but ministry costs money. When
you talk about making records or taking a rock band on the road you are potentially talking about of LOT of money. The lack of funding can limit your ability to minister.
We had to create a whole new way to do the rock and roll thing on an absolute minimum budget."
And they did. Before their first set of concert dates agb rented a warhouse and custom built a state-of-the-art audio, lighting and video system — with special attention
being paid to the ability to transport this gear cost-effectively. The result is a compact, flexible concert system that has been used when the band plays to a small room with 50 youth
group members, a worship service with 500 parishioners in the pews, or an outdoor festival with 5,000 people in attendance.
Each agb show includes colorful video visuals that are
blasted on to video screens behind the band. These videos include words to worship songs that appear just moments before aaron sings each line — something Gilbert calls
"just in time delivery of lyrics" — and without the need for somebody to be running PowerPoint.
The concert system features automated lighting, syncronized video, backing tracks with integrated click track, rack mount amplifiers, and in-ear monitors that enable three performers
on stage to do the work of a seven man crew. "Sound personnel love us..." adds Gilbert. "Our system easily plugs into any existing PA system — from very small to very large — with
minimal demands being placed on the sound crew. We are fully self-contained — and our gear sounds exactly the same at every show."
"The result of all of this, in additional to providing a high-quality musical experience, is that after shows many people come up and ask the band "how did you do that???" More
importantly, when we travel, we can travel as a 3-man team to appear at events of any size. This saves us a fortune in fuel, food and lodging expenses..."
When asked about their live show, aaron greer said "scotto has enabled us to put on the kind of show I've been wanting to put on for years now... I just didn't know how to
do that without paying a huge amount of people to do it. We're able to put on a quality show with just a 3 man team now because of scotto's expertise."
